Oceanic Training Centre

Our hands-on hospitality and culinary training are provided by our own state of the art, 1,500m2 TESDA accredited centre in Manila which offers 60+ tailor-made culinary courses.

The Oceanic Training Centre provides a comprehensive range of training to our clients’ crew, whilst developing bespoke courses based on customer needs.
Our courses include:

  • International Cuisine.
  • Pastry and Confectionary.
  • Chef’s Training.
  • Messman/Steward career development program.
  • Food Safety and Hygiene.
  • Customer Service Training.
  • Housekeeping Training.
  • Bar Training.
  • Administration Courses.

Our kitchen layout enables practical training in line with the latest international HACCP, US Public Health standards and European SHIPSAN.

We are equipped with the same modern electrical equipment found in international vessels, and our facilities simulate the working environment of a ship’s galley.

As a commitment to quality, the ISO 9001:2015 certified Oceanic Training Centre meets MLC 2006 standards and is recognised by the Administration of the Marshall Islands as a training and assessment centre for a wide range of training programs.

Our centre is also available for external clients seeking a bespoke training solution.

Upon commencement of service, Oceanic provides the below training and resources to the Chief Cook:

  • Chief Cook Manual/Handbook.
  • Briefing on procedures, reporting and other culinary and hygiene aspects.
  • Culinary training courses at the Oceanic Training Centre in Manila.
  • Culinary training courses at other locations as agreed with Clients.

Other Training Locations

Hands-on culinary training can be also provided at facilities in Odessa, Shanghai, Goa and Mumbai or other client-specific locations as required.
